Maine Way Outfitters is owned and operated by Jim and Amy. Our love for the outdoors has helped us turn our passion into a business. We are both graduates of Maine Maritime Academy and bring professionalism and years of experience to the water. 

 

Charters are run by Captain Jim Geaumont. He is a Registered Maine Guide, specializing in saltwater fishing.  A Merchant Mariner by trade, Jim is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Master and sails in the tanker industry. 

Born and raised in the state of Maine, Jim is an accomplished outdoorsman.  He could not be more at home on the water and in the field, particularly on his lifelong "playground" of Saco Bay. The majority of his time is spent in the Maine outdoors fishing in both fresh and saltwater as well as various types of commercial fishing, hunting, and hiking. 

You can be sure that when Captain Jim is guiding you... experience is on your side!

Charters are run aboard the Miss Amy, a 23' Tidewater Center Console powered by a fuel efficient Yamaha 4 stroke outboard. Built in South Carolina, its hull has the infamous Carolina Flare which gives an unmatched smooth ride in rough ocean water, keeping you comfortable and dry during your trip. 

 

Onboard you will find all required safety gear including life jackets for all passengers, 2 VHF radios, GPS, EPIRB, first aid, and much more. Since safety is of paramount importance, she is inspected and certified by the United States Coast Guard to carry passengers for hire. 

 

We carry everything that you need to have an enjoyable trip. We use only well maintained and top quality fishing gear from Shimano, Penn, Quantum, Cheeky, St. Croix, Shakespeare, Gamakatsu, Suffix, and Powerpro.
