  • Maine state law requires all children 10 and younger to wear a PFD at all times. We provide a PFD for each person onboard. However, you are welcome to bring one of your own, or one for your child if it will be more comfortable for them. It is required that the PFD is of proper size, in good condition, and imprinted with coast guard approval.

Are alcoholic beverages allowed?

  • Yes, alcohol is allowed. We ask that you consume responsibly while chartering with us. Illegal drugs are not permitted and will result in immediate cancellation of the trip.

Will the trip be cancelled due to rain?

  • Generally speaking, we will not cancel a trip for rain. Exceptions are made for specific trips. The marine forecast and wind usually dictate cancellations. It has been my experience that the fishing can be exceptionally good when the weather is less than perfect!

Can I bring my own fishing gear?

  • Miss Amy is set up with all of the highest quality gear you will need. Additional fishing gear should be authorized by the Captain.

  • Yes, Captain Jim will fillet all fish.  Please bring a cooler to leave in your vehicle to put the fish in after the charter.
